At Primezim we pride ourselves on delivering safe, traceable, and top-quality meat to our customers. To maintain this standard, we build strong, long-term relationships with the best abattoirs and suppliers across Zimbabwe.
When you become an approved vendor, you benefit from:
* Consistent Volume: Reliable, large-scale wholesale orders.
* Prompt Payments: Transparent terms and dependable payment schedules.
* Growth Opportunities: As we expand our distribution footprint, your business grows with us.
Quality and safety are non-negotiable. To protect our customers and adhere to national laws, all our partners must comply with the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and the Animal Health Act.
Before applying, please ensure you meet the following baseline requirements:
Our Vendor Standards
* Public Health Registration: Your facility must be fully registered under the Public Health (Abattoir, Animal and Bird Slaughter and Meat Hygiene) Regulations (Statutory Instrument 50 of 1995).
* Industry Standards: Membership with the Zimbabwe Association of Abattoirs (ZAA) is highly preferred, demonstrating a commitment to ethical slaughter and hygiene codes of practice.
Facility & Operational Licensing
1
* Official Health Marks: All carcasses and cuts supplied must bear a clear, official health stamp from a certified Veterinary Officer (VO) or meat inspector.
* Hygiene Records: You must maintain continuous records for bacteriological sampling, potable water analysis, and up-to-date medical examination certificates for all food handlers.
* Cold Chain Integrity: Facilities must have adequate refrigeration and cold rooms to guarantee the cold chain remains unbroken from slaughter to our loading docks.
Meat Inspection & Health Standards
2
* Veterinary Movement Permits: Strict logging of DVS movement permits for all livestock to ensure no sourcing from disease-controlled zones.
* Anti-Rustling Compliance: Valid police clearance certificates must be on file for all cattle processed at your facility.
